Now that this project has concluded, what are some of your thoughts on it? The story did grow lot over the semester, what were some of your favorite moments, or scenes?

In order to get a better understanding on how this whole thing came together for us here at ASU, I decided to ask our writers how their experience has been in the writers room? What kind of challenges have you faced in writing your days?

Week One Summary

During a party for her eighteenth birthday, Kelly Peterson has died by falling off a cliff and into the Crescent Creek below. Her classmates are very distraught about her death including her boyfriend Jordan, and friends Liz, Richie, Becca, and Antonio. Many of the other students do not see Antonio as a friend, although he claims to have known her well. Kelly’s twitter account began posting message to the group, although no one knows what exactly is happening. While the blame is being tossed around a fight ensued between Jordan and Antonio in which Antonio knocked Jordan out at Kelly’s memorial service. This kept Jordan out of the football game that weekend, but while at the game the scoreboard blew up after displaying a message Kelly for ever! Liz begins to believe that this might be Kelly’s spirit coming back from the dead and begins to involve the others in a ritual to talk to her, although her efforts prove futile.

Week Two Summary

On Monday, Jordan got in a fight with a fellow student who is a known homosexual and claims it was because of a sexual advance. Although he was not suspended or reprimanded for the fight it did draw some media attention, which later brought more media to the death of Kelly. As the mystery around Kelly’s death is becoming more complex the national news networks have now picked up the story, and of all people, Richie was the person who allowed himself to be interviewed on camera. Antonio was interviewed by the police about Kelly’s death, and when the other students began to question him about his potential involvement, the police absolved him on his alibi that he was cooking tofu kabobs with his grandmother. The police later hinted that they were conducting a murder investigation in an audio clip that was captured by a reporter.

That Saturday Kelly’s twitter account led Richie and Liz to the school where they discovered an Olive Garden receipt with “Come to dinner with Kyle and I – 8:30 tonight” written on it. A scavenger hunt over the course of Saturday and into the night leads them to find an envelope with a file containing information from the counseling office that says Becca showed signs of jealousy and resentment towards Kelly.

Week Three Summary

Now that suspicion is landing on Becca about her possible resentment of Kelly the rest of the group begins to question her. The school thinks that Becca stole the file from the office, however she denies involvement. The school has also become aware of the strange posts on Kelly’s twitter account and is now involved in trying to figure out who is doing the posting. Another post from Kelly reveals that Becca had been rejected by Jordan the night of Kelly's tragedy, this rumor eventually leading to her breaking down in front of everyone at the pep rally that week. Becca decided to cancel her Halloween party in light of this rumor, but changed her mind after Richie convinced her otherwise. The school however has found out about the party and warned the students not to go.
Before the students could decide what to do Kelly posted a picture of her in her Halloween costume from last year, claiming that she would be at the party. At the party they find a girl in Kelly’s costume, although after chasing her down they find out that it was Richie's sister in the costume. She claims that Jordan left the costume and a note in her locker instructing her to come to the party in the costume, but the note appears to be written by someone else. Just as things seem to be getting to weird for words however Richie is arrested on Sunday at his home by dozens of police and SWAT members.

Week Four Summary

A bomb squad and FBI agents closed in on Richies house on an anonymous tip when they discover large amounts of explosives in his house. Turns out he was the one who blew up the scoreboard at the football game. Kelly’s account later posts that she was the one who called in the tip to the police. Later in the week, Becca’s dad hooked a mannequin when he was out fishing near where Kelly disappeared, and left it for Becca to find. The mannequin tuned out to be one that was stolen from Liz’s work almost a month before. Just as everyone is getting suspicious about how the thing got into the water, Kelly’s account posts a picture of Jordan at a gay club. The truth comes out that Jordan is gay, and the next day Richie finds him hanging in the gym locker room before a road trip to a football game. While they are arguing about how this all happened it appeared that Kelly wasn’t finished yet, and posted a video to youtube that Liz had made. You can view the pictures and links below.

Week Five Summary

As things begin to go from bad to worse, Liz now believes that Kelly is trying to posses her from beyond the grave, and decides to put on a strange ceremony at the site of Kelly’s death in order to send Kelly’s sprit away. Becca follows her to the ritual and observes Liz doing a dark ritual. This behavior only makes her seem like a more likely suspect to the others. While Richie and Becca are trying to figure out what is wrong with Liz, Kelly reveals their secret relationship to Liz with a picture of the two of them in Becca’s bedroom. Upon searching around Becca found a camera in her room, but no one knows how it got there. This drives Becca to get the police involved. After revealing the situation of someone using Kelly’s account and the real reason for Jordan’s suicide the Police inform Becca that Liz has gone missing. The two decide to block Kelly on twitter so she can’t read their messages but discover that she is not following either of them. In order to find out how Kelly is still reading their tweets they decide to look over their followers lists for matches, and find one, “BottomFeeder.” Just as Becca and Richie are beginning to try and piece this whole thing together Liz shows up at Richies house late at night, but won’t come in for fear that Kelly is following her and she can not stay in one place for to long. Liz is later arrested when she was caught running around the street screaming and pulling her hair out. In the psyche ward Liz tells Becca that she decided to get some food after leaving Richies, but when she came back to her car she saw Kelly tied up in the back seat.

Week Six Summary

After talking to Liz, Becca decided that she needed to look into the possibility of Liz’s claim. In Liz’s backseat Richie found a friendship bracelet that belonged to Kelly, making Liz’s story a little more plausible. Antonio hears about the bracelet and asks Richie for it as a keepsake of Kelly’s memory. Meanwhile the suspicion around Bottomfeeder25 was raised when Becca began talking to him and his story of being a student at a different school didn’t seem to add up. Richie and Becca enlist the help of Antonio to hack into the account and find out whose it is. They discovered that it belonged to principal Morris. Morris is later arrested when Richies dad sees him wandering around the school late Wednesday night, which led to the police discovering that Morris had a surveillance room that was linked to dozens of cameras placed all over town and the school. This leads the authorities to believe that Morris might have been involved in Kellys death, particularly because the tweeting from Kelly’s account has stopped since the arrest. After another visit to Liz in the hospital, Becca finds out that Kelly was trying to hand Liz the bracelet when she was tied up, and Richie thinks he knows where Kelly might be.

Week Seven Summary

Becca’s hunch brought her to the cheer camp where her and Kelly exchanged the friendship bracelets. She is not there, but Becca did find fresh milk, and an inhaler that is the same kind as Richies. Becca and Antonio begin spending time together as the pieces of the puzzle are pointing to Richie, and Antonio discovers that the Rx # matches Richies. Soon after Liz begins tweeting again as she is given computer access in the hospital, meanwhile the mannequin at Becca’s house goes missing, and the window that Richie used to use to sneak in was the one that was broken in to. Antonio reveals more truths about Richie to Becca, including that Richie was the one who stole the girl’s underwear last year at the camp, which he had lied to Becca about. Becca is scared, and asks Antonio if she can stay at with him. Reluctantly, he agrees she can stay the night. At Antonio’s house Becca arrived earlier than expected and tweets to Liz while she talks with Antonio’s grandmother. Unfortunately, his grandmother keeps repeating to herself “Antonio is a good boy, he takes care of me, he stayed at home and made my favorite meal tofu-kabobs.” Becca stumbles on the Mannequin in the sewing room and just as she is about to leave, Antonio arrives at the house and the tweets stop. Liz tells Richie about what happened to Liz, after checking out Antonio’s house, Kelly’s twitter account tweets again “Come and find me, Richie, and we'll put an end to this once and for all.”

Week Eight Summary

When Richie attempted to go to the police, they didn't seem to inclined to believe him. After, he decided to go to Becca's mom, however she blamed him for her daughters weird behavior. On Tuesday in one Liz's sessions one of the therapists brought up Antonio. This made Liz curious and when she dug deeper she found out that Antonio was once a resident at the mental hospital. When he was younger his sister had been kidnapped and killed, and after the incident Antonio became unstable and took his parents hostage for fear of loosing them. Liz tells Richie to come by the hospital that night and pick up a file that she is going to leave for him. After Antonio goes and retrieves the file he discovers that it is empty, and Liz was just trying to see if he would try and cover his tracks. Richie had used the window when Antonio was gone from his house, to sneak in and spy on him in an attempt to find the girls. After Antonio nods off Richie tells Becca he is going to look around for clues. On Friday night, Becca emerges. Her and Kelly had escaped and stolen Antonio's phone, now they were lost in the woods. After running around, Kelly found a road, but Becca was back at the house. Becca decides to go in and save Richie who had been caught when he was sneaking around. Becca tells Kelly to take a picture of herself with her phone and sent it to the police so they know that this is not a prank.

Becca is caught by Antonio and he hold the two hostage telling Kelly she needs to come back if she wants to save her friends. Early that morning Becca and Richie are freed in exchange for Kelly coming back to Antonio, but before Antonio can escape with Kelly, the police show up. In an escape attempt, Antonio is hit by the police car and the car is sent into a wild spin. The impact was on the passenger door where Kelly was sitting and she appears dead. Antonio pulls her out of the car, and as the police approach he hides behind her, gun in hand. In a rage Antonio charges the police and they gun him down. Richie and Becca notice Kelly is moving a bit and an Ambulance rushes in and took her away.

On Sunday, Richie and Becca go to the hospital to visit Kelly. She will recover although her injuries were pretty bad. Antonios mother arrives at the mental hospital with Liz, although she is released since it becomes obvious she wasn't making up the story about Kelly.
